It all began many years ago when we worked alongside one another, building what we thought was just a workplace friendship... but plot twist - it turned into a forever one.

We supported each other’s aspirations and pushed each other to become the best version of ourselves. He was offered a job in Connecticut which meant he would need to move almost 3 hours away. We became weekend warriors (sometimes weekdays), making trips back and forth, until she found a job and moved there too.

Fast forward to our fearless journey through the pandemic - slightly scathed - with a few extra pounds and a shared Irish day - drinking hobby (thank you, whiteclaw). Somewhere in there, we decided to move in together and discovered life was good, even if our sourdough starter wasn't

After a year of living in sweatpants and watching way too much Netflix, we made the bold decision to move back to New Hope for new jobs and, honestly, some fresh air. And who could forget the two surgeries? Her nurse had way too much fun snapping embarrassing post-op photos but redeemed himself by cutting up popsicles and delivering plates of pancakes and cake.

In 2022, we sadly said goodbye to our beloved Chewie and Tig. They were our furry family members, with Chewie being her first baby. They'll always have a place in our hearts.

We continued our adventures with frequenting Triumph (honestly, they should name barstools for us), road-tripping to DC for food and museums, or just reminding each other how much they are loved. Pro tip: never check our bank statements from Triumph. Ignorance is bliss.

Big news! We bought our first home! Of course, because we love chaos, we immediately flew to Boston the next day. Who needs sleep when you have keys to a new house and travel plans? Then reality set in. Since moving in, we've had quite the adventure - Replace carpet with new flooring? Check. Start demolition on a room only to hire a professional to now remove new flooring? Also check. A bird casually flying straight down the chimney. Oh, and let's not forget the day we locked ourselves out and had to smash a window to get back inside - because nothing says "responsible adults" like breaking into your own house. And just when we thought we'd conquered the chaos - we discovered that the hot and cold water lines in the house were swapped, so our showers now double as an extreme sport where you're either flash-frozen or boiled alive.
But despite the chaos, this house has given us endless stories to tell and memories to cherish. Every project reminds us that we make a pretty great team! It's not perfect, but it's ours and we wouldn't trade this for anything.

What a year. Not only did we hit the five-year milestone, but we also leveled up with an engagement!! Our joy and excitement carried us right into our first Christmas as fiancés filled with love and laughter. It was the perfect way to cap off this rollercoaster of a year, and we can't wait to tackle the next chapter together - hopefully with fewer home repairs and even more reasons to laugh. Cheers!
